We left Amsterdam yesterday morning and headed toward Paris.  There is a small museum near Arnhem in Holland dedicated to World War II and the liberation of the Netherlands by Allied forces 66 years ago.  The people of the Netherlands celebrate liberation day each year and have created a memorial to all of those who lost their lives in that part of the war.  It was interesting to think about that connection that so many of us have to the people of the Netherlands because of the service of our family members who may have been here during that time.  We arrived in Paris late last night and so some of our first impressions of Paris were experienced while traveling to church this morning.  The ward meets in a small facility in the middle of the city.  The services were conducted in French and the missionaries translated via headsets in English.  The translation was a little sketchy, but we felt good being there and could feel the spirit from the members.  We met some other students from other study groups, tourists from Bountiful, South Carolina, and a family from Sandy living there for 6 months. We are looking forward to a great experience here in Paris.  More pictures to follow.
